MCI & Associates is a proudly locally owned and operated, team of accountants and advisors. Heading up the firm are Directors - Neil Ivamy, Esther Gleave (both Accounting Principals), Sean Stafford (Advisory Principal) and Heidi Morgans (Practice Manager), alongside experienced Principals - Simon Curran, Moira Paewai and Sam Ellingham, who are supported by some 50+ accounting and administration staff.

Aaron Karena

Aaron Karena is an Associate Principal at MCI & Associates.

 

He uri ahau nō Rangitāne o Tamaki nui a Rua; Born and raised in Dannevirke and Tararua proud!

 

After gaining his university degree he started his accounting career at MCI in 2013. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2016 and has been working with a diverse range of clients and industries throughout NZ since then.  He loves accountancy as he finds it an everchanging profession. Aaron is also ’tech savvy’, keeping up-to-date with all the latest technological updates. 

 

He is very involved in the community and serves on the governance boards of multiple community organisations.  Aaron loves the outdoors, so when not in the office, he is actively participating in sports and recreation.  Aaron and his wife, Emily, have two mischievous boys and love everything about being their parents.
