MCI & Associates – Team Talk

 

When it comes to our clients and our staff, they are much more than ‘just a number’. At MCI & Associates, we genuinely value our clients and believe our staff to be our greatest asset, and key to our success.

 

MCI & Associates are proud to be locally owned and operate from two offices in the Tararua District. With over 50 staff, our valued team is made up of passionate Receptionists, Payroll Clerks, GST Clerks, Accounting Managers, Principals, Associates and Directors; all who possess a wide range of talents and skills. To complement our accounting services, MCI also provides Farming Advisory services provided by our knowledgeable specialists.

 

MCI understands the importance of maintaining standards. We currently have staff training towards their Accountancy Degrees, we encourage regular involvement in Professional Development, and support avenues for staff to advance their careers in the industry. We actively encourage staff to broaden their skill sets; we believe strongly in the importance of keeping up-to-date with business and industry standards and believe in a continual growth mindset for all our staff. We’re fortunate to have a wonderful mix of hard-working youth with fresh ideas and current tertiary knowledge, who sit alongside our long-serving members who hold invaluable insight and understanding of both business and rural sectors, and who naturally have obtained a wealth of industry experience. These components combined, mean our clients and newcomers to the industry receive the most from our services and support.

 

MCI are passionate about supporting the Tararua community whether by way of employing local talent or encouraging more people to live and work in the area, by supporting fundraising initiatives, offering accountancy scholarships, or donating our time to assist charitable organisations. MCI was locally established 16 years ago, and with MCI predecessor firms being in the region for more than 50 years, we’re armed with over 100 years’ experience with our existing principals. This background equips us with strong local knowledge and community grounding. We feel strongly about continuing to feed into our community and are committed to contributing to its growth. By providing discounted accounting services to not-for-profit organisations, delivering sponsorship for organisations, individuals and sports teams in our region, and by being involved in a variety of community events, we’re fortunate enough to experience the best of both worlds. We’re grateful to be able to contribute to worthwhile causes, as well as being fortunate to be involved with a fabulous variety of people and wonderful initiatives. We love the connection this provides and knowing who our community are. We love that our staff are personally community-minded and that our work takes us to a wide variety of businesses, enabling us to genuinely know our community at a grass-roots level.
